The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources has set the opening date of the 2014-2015 shrimp season for 6 a.m., Wednesday, June 18. Recreational and commercial shrimp season will close at midnight, Dec. 31, 2014, north of the Intracoastal Waterway, and at midnight, April 30, 2015, south of the Intracoastal Waterway.
