Bay Council recap: Next time

Will the city have a legal department or hire a lawyer under contract? Will the Harbor Commission allow alternate votes? Who will the city appoint to the school board? These questions and others may be answered at the recessed meeting on Monday or the next regular meeting in March.

New eats: Da Little Kitchen

Da Little Kitchen is now open at 400 Clarence Ave. in Pass Christian. The menu includes burgers, roast beef po-boy, shrimp po-boy, Philly cheese steak,  shrimp basket, taco salad, fried green tomatoes, steaks and more. Cherry Nurse is the owner.

Happy Mardi Gras!

The Krewe of Diamonds parades through downtown Bay St. Louis today. Start time is 1 p.m. but I can already hear Mardi Gras music as the krewe gets geared up for their ride. New eats: McAlister’s. Parade: tonight.

Catching up on new places to eat: McAlister’s Deli at 1050 Frontage Drive West Suite D up in Wiggins is now open. Kingdom Foods LLC is the owner. The menu includes soups, salads, subs, wraps, potatoes, desserts, etc. Hours are Sunday-Saturday 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m. (Don’t forget the parades tonight and tomorrow.)
