Building permits: playgrounds & highway lighting

Here’s your recap of building permits issued last week (July 9-13).

The Hancock County Building Department issued seven permits valued at $211,916 and permit fees of $1,166.

All seven permits were for residential projects: a new house on Kelly Road; a new metal storage building on  Firetower Road; playgrounds at the Dedeaux shelter/ballfield area on Road 350, at the Necaise shelter/ballfield on Highway 603 and in Bayside Park subdivision on West Bolivar Street; interior and exterior repairs to a house on Highway 603; and a shed on Highway 53.

The Bay St. Louis Building Department issued five permits with a total value of $837,992 and fees of $4,807.

The permits were for clearing a lot on Fiber Street, a couple of residential buildings on  Good Street and New York, a pool on Hancock Street and the city’s Highway 90 lighting project.
