Elon Musk: To Stennis & beyond

STENNIS SPACE CENTER SpaceX is bringing a new engine rocket testing program to Stennis Space Center along with an incredible portfolio, thanks to its forward-thinking founder, Elon Musk.

Musk, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal and Tesla Motors, is CEO and chief designer of SpaceX. Bloomberg Businessweek called him “the 21st century industrialist.”

Most recently Musk made headlines with his concept for the Hyperloop transportation system that would send travelers through tubes at speeds of more than 700 miles an hour.

Musk founded SpaceX in 2002 with the formal name of Space Exploration Technologies Corporation. The mission is to build spacecraft for commercial space travel.

The SpaceX Falcon 1 was the first privately developed liquid-fueled rocket to reach orbit. In 2012 SpaceX launched a rocket that sent the first commercial vehicle to the International Space Station.

SpaceX will test its new methane rocket engines at Stennis starting next year. But you can shop for SpaceX merch today. Go to www.spacex.com.
