Weekly building permit recap

The Hancock County Building Department issued six permits last week (Oct. 22-26) with a total value of $391,087 and fees of $2,172.

Five of the permits were for residential projects: Interior and exterior repairs to a house on Lory Street; construction  of a metal building on East Lake Cypress Drive; a new house on Cuevas Town Road; a new house on St. Mary Drive; and a carport on Firetower Road.

The one commercial permit was issued to The Andersons Inc. for the installation of a fall protection truss with a harness trolley over the railroad tracks on Port and Harbor Drive. Value of that permit is $94,648 with fees of $590.

Bay St. Louis had no permits to report from last week.
