Building permits: houses & a sign

It’s the day after Christmas and building permits probably aren’t on your mind, but two reports arrived by email this morning so here you go. You’re welcome.

The Hancock County Building Department issued three permits last week (Dec. 12-17) for a total value of $253,681 and fees of $1,347. All three were for residential projects: a new house on Levee Avenue, a new house on Arapaho Place and an addition of one bedroom and a foyer to a house on Chester Lee Road. 

The Bay St. Louis Building Department also issued three permits for a total value of $154,082 and fees of $802. The permits were for a sign at Hancock Square, 833 Highway 90; a miscellaneous commercial building at the Hancock County Library, 312 Highway 90 and a miscellaneous residential building (bulkhead-pier-boathouse) on Wolfe Street.

The Hancock Square sign permit listed the value at $95,000 and fees of $147. The contractor was Pro Signs & Graphics of Kenner, La.

The library permit value was $44,782 and fees were $385. The contractor was Carrier-Stumm of Diamondhead.
