Here’s your first building permit report for the new year.
Hancock County’s Building Department issued five permits during the first week of January with a total value of $213,358 and total fees of $1,102.
All the permits were for residential projects. Three permits were for a new house on Shawnee Street. One permit was for the addition of a bedroom and foyer to an existing house on Chester Lee Road and another was for a new shop on Old Lower Bay Road.
The Bay St. Louis Building Department issued permits for two projects with a total value of $29,816 and fees of $350. One permit was for a residential addition on Texas Street and the other was for a room on Main Street.
