Building permit recap: $11 million plus

Here’s your building permit recap for the week of Jan. 28-Feb. 1.

Bay St. Louis issued permits for seven projects with a total valuation of – drum roll – $11,617,955 and fees of $82,489. That whopping total is thanks to the planned Cure hotel building on North Beach at Main Street.

The Cure Land Co.’s  commercial permit for the 50,205-square-foot hotel listed a value of $10,700,000 and fees of $74,970. The contractor is Woodward Design Build LLC of Gulfport. 

The other commercial project permitted is a remodel at 1100 Highway 90 C. The owner is Bryan Brooks and the contractor is Charles Oliver. Valuation was $25,000 and fees were $245.

The residential permits were for houses on Helen Drive, Felicity and Edith Drive plus bulkheads and piers on Jordan River Drive and a miscellaneous residential building on Ramoneda.

The Hancock County Building Department issued four permits for a total value of $238,600 and fees of $1,095. All permits were for residential projects: new houses on Road 366 and Ridgewood Drive, a new shed on Road 357 and a porch addition to a house on Second Street.
