Building permit report: mostly residential

Hancock County issued seven building permits during the week of April 15-19 with a total value of $184,711 and fees of $1,166. The one commercial permit was for remodeling of a strip mall building into a church at 16794 Kapalama Road. The owner is Redemption Baptist Church of Diamondhead. The contractor is Delta Construction.

The residential permits were for  pole barns on Runnymede and Deerwood, a shed on Myrtle Drive, a house on Irvin Favre Road, an enclosed barn/carport on Dummyline Road and the installation of a double wide mobile home on Dan Garcia Road.

Bay St. Louis issued five permits totaling $285,824 in valuation and $2,384 in fees.  All were for residential projects: an addition on Breeden Place, a new house on South Beach and miscellaneous residential buildings on Old Lazy River Road (a deck), Colorado Street (bulkhead and piers) and Kansas Street (bulkhead and piers).
