Building permits: Catching up

It’s Catch Up Monday. Here are two weeks worth of building permits issued by the Hancock County Building Department.

For the week of Sept. 9-13, six projects were permitted for a total value of $780,920 and fees of $8,170. One commercial permit was for a new 94-foot monopole tower at 7750 Bayou Lacroix Road. The owner is Verizon Wireless. The fees were $5,001. No value was listed.

The residential permits are for an enclosed carport on Road 532, a pole barn on Gardenia Street and new homes on Laterre Drive, River Trace and Ashlake Farm Road.  

For the week of Sept. 16-20, seven permits were issued, totaling $679,457 in value and $3,024 in fees. All projects were residential: new houses on Highway 603, River Trace, Standard Dedeaux Road and Caesar Necaise Road. The others were for repairs to an existing house on West Granada, installation of a shed on Laterre Drive and construction of a metal building on Possum Fork Road.
