The Bay St. Louis Building Department issued five permits last week (Sept. 30-Oct. 4) totaling $197,305 in value and $2,097 in fees. There were two commercial permits. One was for a remodel at 1210 Old Spanish Trail. The owner is Mullets LLC. Value listed is $20,000 with fees of $200. The second commercial permit was issued to C Spire for electrical work at 1075 Highway 90. Value was $12,930 with fees of $382.

The residential permits were for a new foundation for a house being moved on same property on Old Spanish Trail, a residential remodel on North Beach and a miscellaneous building on Lake Drive.

Hancock County’s Building Department issued four permits totaling $266,119 in value and $1,355 in fees. All were for residential projects: a new house on Firetower Road, repairs to an existing house on East Issaquena, a new storage building on West Jones and an addition to a house on East Lake Cypress Drive.
