A house is under construction on Hancock Street in Bay St. Louis. It’s one of several being built between Washington and St. Charles.
Judging by the home building activity that’s going on in a very small area along my walking route, I’d have to say this part of Bay St. Louis is enjoying a housing boom.
Houses are being built in the first block of Ballentine, on Hancock near St. Charles and on St. Charles near Third Street. Also on Hancock near Citizen, a building permit has been posted and stakes are in the ground. Nearby, two other lots in the first block of Citizen have been cleared.
These likely are more vacation homes but it’s good to see these vacant lots being filled in with houses once again.
