Here’s a volunteer opportunity forwarded by Wendy McDonald:

Next Wednesday (12/11/13) at 10 a.m. the Bay St. Louis ‘Edible Fruit Orchard’ located across from the Senior Citizen Center (601 Bookter) will need community volunteers to help plant 33 fruit trees.

The fruit trees, vines, and shrubs in this newly created orchard will belong to the public. They are for everyone, including you. Please protect these plants. When the fruit is ripe you may pick it and share it with others.

Please bring your shovels, rakes, and gloves!
