Now there’s proof

Results this morning from a new survey by the website CarInsuranceComparison.com has found Louisiana drivers are the worst in the nation. Don’t get too worked up: Mississippi is third worst. South Carolina is in between, in second place.

The website looked at data on fatalities, citations, DUI infractions and speeding/careless tickets. Louisiana, ever the overachiever, also won last year’s No. 1 ranking, according to reports.

Having observed driving habits in New Orleans and along Highway 90 for many years, I have learned that 1) cars in Louisiana are not equipped with turn signals and 2) if someone’s driving erratically, they’re likely from Jackson County. With exceptions, of course.
