Katrina cactus

This is my favorite of the three Christmas cacti (?) blooming in the house now. It was in the same spot during Katrina and had a thick coating of muddy crud on it for who knows how many days afterwards. It gets little or no attention and blooms like crazy every year.
There’s a lesson in there somewhere, don’t you think?
