Here’s the latest from the state Health Department inspectors on restaurant openings:

Chappy’s is back in a new location, now serving customers inside The Almanett Hotel
at 1514 18th Ave. in Gulfport.

John Chapman’s menu includes Cajun seafood gumbo, crab bisque, fried green tomatoes, shrimp remoulade, grilled BBQ spiced shrimp, grill lamb chop lollipops and blackened redfish.

Also new in Gulfport is Ice Daiquiri Bar & Ultra Lounge at 1909 E. Pass Road A2.

Owner Carlos Malley and Tracy Harris are serving up their versions of Dreamsicle, hypnosis, code blue, Amaretto chocolate, chocolate banana, peach colada, Butterfinger, Peppermint Patty, among others.
