BAY ST. LOUIS The Army Corps of Engineers said Friday they’re working to fix the drainage problem on the north end of the Bay St. Louis seawall near the U.S. 90 bridge.
Spokesman Pat Robbins said that sand is clogging up drainage and once it is removed, “engineers will try to develop a solution we need to work on” to correct the problem.
“We hope to have the contractor start work late next week,” Robbins said. “We don’t have a timeline on the solution because we still have to assess what the problem is after the sand has been removed and then determine the fix.”
Hancock County’s Lisa Cowand, president of the board of supervisors, and county road manager Bill Johnson met with the Corps Thursday to talk about the drainage problem.
