I almost hate to post this bit of food news on a Friday during Lent but here goes:

Dickey’s Barbeque & Catering is now open at 11240 U.S. 49N Unit B in Gulfport. That’s the official word from the state Health Department, which has given it the go ahead to open.

The restaurant serves beef brisket, ribs, pulled pork, spicy cheddar sausage, smokehouse salad, chicken Caesar salad, barbeque beans, potato salad, jalapeño beans, fried okra, assorted desserts and then some.
