A slew of new restaurants

Here are the newest restaurants given the OK to open by the state Health Department:

Flyin’ Jalepeno at 133 Davis Ave. Suite L in Pass Christian is owned by Jourdan Nicaud. The menu: burritos, nachos, pork carnitas, sautéed veggies, Cajun broiled shrimp, bread pudding and more.

Grocery Depot at 12233 Dedeaux Road in Gulfport offers pulled pork sandwiches, St. Louis-style ribs and rotisserie chicken. Jeff Iverson is the owner.

Stormy & Rainie’s Snoball Place at 23539 Central Drive in Saucier sells snowballs, hot dogs and nachos. Stormy Drezinski is the owner.

Oscar’s Mexican Grill & Cantina at 12013 U.S. 49 in Gulfport serves fajita nachos, enchiladas, tacos, fish tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, flautas, taco salad and chile relleno.
Tammy Smith is the owner.

Big Kahuna at 13187 G Dedeaux Road in Gulfport has a new owner, Rhonda Gaddis. Big Kahuna sells
snowballs, nachos and hot dogs.

    BTW, a Waffle House will be opening on 49 near Lowe’s in Gulfport.
