MDEQ lifts water contact advisory for Bay beach

JACKSON – The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality lifted a water contact advisory today, July 2, for beach monitoring station Station 4 in Bay St. Louis, from Ramaneda east to Ballantine Street. The advisory was issued Saturday, June 28.

Water samples at this station show the area has attained acceptable bacteria levels, said DEQ.

The Long Beach station from Oak Gardens east to Girard is the only one across the Mississippi Coast currently under an advisory.
