Update: Corps seawall contractor on site early next week

BAY ST. LOUIS An Army Corps of Engineers contractor will begin moving in equipment Monday and Tuesday to solve the long-standing drainage problem along the new Bay St. Louis seawall near the U.S. 90 bridge.
An open drain clogged with sand is preventing water from draining off the beachfront property.
“Work will begin once they have their equipment on site,” said spokesman Pat Robbins.
Robbins said last week after the Corps met with Supervisor Lisa Cowand that
engineers will see where the problem is once the sand is removed and then correct it.
The Notebook will follow up on the work early next week.
