New eating places: burgers, tacos, lattes & more

A trio of new places to eat in Gulfport and Pearl River County, from the state Health Department:

Anthony’s Sports Bar & Grill at 12293 Highway 49 in Gulfport has a menu featuring buffalo shrimp, knockout shrimp (their version of bang bang shrimp), burgers, chicken wings, sandwiches, wraps and “po-girls” (Anthony’s take on po-boys), steak, seafood baskets and red beans & rice. Owners are Kevin and Henry Leidigh.

Mini Super Latino Americano at 207 1/2 E. Canal St. in Picayune offers Honduran and Mexican tamales, tacos a la carte and these daily lunch specials: carne asada, enchiladas, carnitas, estofado, fajitas, pupusas and tacos locos. Hours are Sunday-Thursday are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Celenia Lumpkin is the owner.

The Coffee Shop at 1030 S. Main St. in Poplarville serves coffee, lattes, frappes, chai, tea, smoothies, deli sandwiches, bagels, cookies and brownies. Hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Owner is Katrina Mizell.
