New restaurants now serving

You don’t read this very often: Pascagoula has new places to eat.
And here are a couple that have the state Health Department’s OK to open:

Downtown Buffet & Grill at 641 Delmas Ave. offers buffet items like fried chicken, meat loaf, hamburger steak with gravy, lasagna, country fried steak, baked chicken, fried pork chops, green beans, turnips, cabbage, corn, squash, fried green tomatoes, big limas, pinto beans, mac & cheese, fried okra, peas succotash, rolls, cornbread, peach cobbler, bread pudding and a salad bar.
Grill items include hamburger, cheeseburger, chili cheese burger, club sandwich, French fries and onion rings. Mary Poole is the owner.

Las Manis at 3415 Chicot St. serves Pina Loca, Sandy Loca, strawberry and cream, corn in a cup, Rusas, Chicharones and corn chips in a bag. Owners are Maira Garcia and Juanita Reza.
