Bay St. Louis officials say that someone is calling individuals identifying themselves as a representative of the Utilities Department and telling people they have a past due balance on their utility account. The caller then says that if payment is not paid immediately via MoneyGram at Wal-Mart their service will be cutoff.

This person is NOT associated with the City of Bay St. Louis and you should NOT give any personal or account information to them. If you should receive a call of this nature, please report it immediately to the Bay St. Louis Police Department by calling Central Dispatch at 228-255-9191.
