Info, not ads. What a concept.

You can tell it’s election season by the vote-for-me signs all over the place.

But have you heard about ServeHancock.com, a new voter empowerment project launched this week?

The new online forum for Hancock County candidates might be the only one of its kind in the state, say the volunteers who put the website together.

They want to help voters “make decisions based on information instead of advertising.”

Isn’t that a great concept?

Go to www.servehancock.com for a list of candidates, district maps and other voter information. Check out the answers candidates gave to questions in the forum to see where they stand on issues.

The volunteers who did all the work are associated with The Fourth Ward Cleaver, the monthly online community magazine (www.bslfourthward.com.)

Congratulations to the ServeHancock.com team and to the candidates who participated.
