Bay City Council to examine non-profit support

BAY ST. LOUIS Looks like it might be SRO at Monday’s City Council budget workshop dealing with cash and in-kind support to non-profits.

The organizations who receive support include the Chamber of Commerce, the Library System, youth sports, tourism, the Garden Club, the Senior Citizens Center, Boy’s and Girl’s Club and CASA.

Tish Williams, the Chamber executive director, sent an email this week to members urging them to attend the meeting “to show your support and demonstrate why you believe the City should continue its partnership with these worthwhile groups.”

The meeting at the Conference Center on Main Street behind the Shell station will start at 5 p.m.
