NASA’s Super Guppy touched down recently at Stennis International Airport to deliver some space hardware that was trucked to the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans.
This unique aircraft, 143 feet in length with a 156-foot wingspan, has a hinged nose that swings 110 degrees for loading and unloading outsized cargo.
Airport crews serviced the Guppy before it returned home to Houston. Here’s what happened.
Lovebugs! I got a cold chill and saw an image of that Bergeron woman when I read your headline. Not the most attractive plane I’ve ever seen, but practical.
Wow, amazing aircraft. Can’t help but thing with all that technology there would be an automatic gadget to clean the windshield.
