Work on Bay Town Inn is winding down and owner Nikki Moon is taking reservations.

BAY ST. LOUIS Painters, plumbers and pool installers are busy finishing up at Bay Town Inn on North Beach Boulevard. A “soft opening” is set for Sept. 21 as a sort of shakedown cruise before paying guests arrive.

Innkeeper Nikki Moon said she started taking reservations three weeks ago and the inn’s 11 rooms are filling up. She’s got only one vacancy each for the upcoming BridgeFest and Cruisin’ the Coast in October. Weddings in March and May and a family reunion in June are already on the books.

Moon hired all locals for the project and said their work has been “very meticulous.”

The two-story inn has 10 units, each with a bedroom and living/dining space and a kitchenette. The cabana is the 11th unit. Moon’s residence faces the beachfront.

Rates start at $129 during the week (with a light breakfast included) and $139 on weekends with a full breakfast delivered to your door!
