Thursday recap: Long hearing, short meeting

I watched some of the House Benghazi hearing yesterday, and, not surprisingly, there were no surprises. Just politics. Five million taxpayer dollars worth so far.

Later in the day, I went to the recessed meeting of the Bay St. Louis City Council. What a difference a day makes. Everyone was all cooperative and cordial since the mayor provided the council the original invoices they have been longing for. Two dockets were approved. The only sticking point now is whether the council office and clerk will be moved across the street to City Hall. The mayor wants to do it, the council really doesn’t. Stay tuned.

Then, when I got back home and turned the TV on, Chairman Gowdy, incredibly, was still flailing. Bless his heart. Chairman Gowdy
