Bay Council recap: Déjà vu

The Jan. 5 Bay St. Louis city council meeting’s long-story-short version:

The performance audit is under way and findings should be presented in March. Auditors will give the city weekly updates on their progress.
All P&Z applications were approved according to Planning and Zoning’s recommendations.
Old business items (buying water from the county utility authority, city attorney contract, natural gas prices, etc.) slid over to next meeting.
Claims docket approved 6-1 (the 1 being Lonnie Falgout).
Council business déjà vu: lights on 603 and 90, ditches, canals and sidewalks. Both public forums had the same familiar feeling.
Nothing to report on the trolley or library payment but the golf cart ordinance is in the hands of the Legislature.
That’s it. Until they meet again.
