Mississippi Public Broadcasting is in Bay St. Louis today (April 16) filming for their award-winning TV show Mississippi Roads.

The show will feature Bay St. Louis engineer-turned-performance artist Steve Barney and his amazing Steampunk pottery contraption, ”Agile Argile”. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Ugly Pirate on the corner of Second Street and Demontluzin Avenue.

Come out and watch as Steve hangs upside down, makes pots with his head, and other crazy antics to make pottery. Inspired by Rube Goldberg and “Mad Potter” George Ohr, the show is designed to entertain and educate adults and students and pique interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.

The Hancock Tourist Development Bureau in conjunction with The Arts of Hancock County invite you to come out and support the arts in Bay St. Louis and Barney’s rising acclaim in the STEAM educational movement.

“Steve and his crazy contraption are a part of the rich, vibrant interdisciplinary arts scene here in Bay St. Louis, we are excited to support Barney’s vision to inspire kids across the country,” said Martha Whitney Butler, president of the Arts, Hancock County.
