Bay Council recap: see for yourself

Last night’s City Council meeting was live on Facebook. (Below is a screen grab.)

I was there for the first 2 hours, beginning with the contentious removal of Donald Rafferty from the official Council Table. (He was directed to take a seat with the citizenry.)

Also, the public hearing on making Court Street one way was moved to the next meeting. The P&Z votes generally followed P&Z’s recommendations. Lots of comments but no decision on the long-discussed short-term rental ordinance. That was moved to the Sept. 6 meeting.

All that, and other action/non action, is available for viewing on the city’s website. I’m told upcoming council meetings and workshops will also go live on Facebook. See what you’ve been missing. Watch or attend the next gathering on Monday, Aug. 8.

  1. The disrespect, rudeness, and contentiousness at the council meetings is a horrible embarrassment. I truly hope the three stooges are voted out in the next election.
