Tractor Supply coming to the Bay

Tractor Supply Co., the retail chain that carries top brands for farmers, gardeners, homeowners and their pets, is coming to Bay St. Louis.

The store, which will be built at 1220 U.S. 90, has created a lot of buzz ever since the building permit was issued for the $1.4 million commercial building.

A company rep said the store opening is set for mid to late Fall.

Tractor Supply is Tennessee based and has more than 1,400 stores in 49 states, making it a market leader. The closest stores are in Gulfport and Picayune.

Don’t let the name put you off. Tractor Supply sells everything from outdoor furniture and garden tools to soil and seeds, toys, clothes and footwear, fireplaces and hardware.

As the rep put it: “The store will be a one-stop shop for Bay St. Louis’ farmers, livestock and pet owners, ranchers, part-time and hobby farmers, gardeners, homeowners, tradesmen and others.

“Customers will be able to shop a wide selection of products at a great value including workwear and boots, tractor and trailer parts and accessories, lawn and garden supplies, sprinkler and irrigation parts, power tools, fencing, welding and pump supplies, riding mowers and more. Tractor Supply will also seek to support pet adoption initiatives, 4-H and FFA, county fairs and livestock shows within the community.”
