Women Build 2017

Habitat for Humanity Bay-Waveland is one of more than 300 Habitat organizations nationwide hosting Women Build projects with support from Lowe’s, a longtime partner in the event.

The Bay-Waveland Women Build will be a three-day event – Wednesday (May 10) to 4 p.m. Friday (May 12).

Women are welcome to volunteer for a half day, one day or more. It’s an opportunity to come together with other women and advocate for decent, affordable housing for low-income families. It’s always an event with lots of fun, food and prizes and hard but satisfying work! Male volunteers are always welcome.

This year’s event in Bay St. Louis will begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served and the work day ends at 3 p.m. Please be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, bug spray, sunscreen and gloves. Water will be provided but it’s suggested that you bring a personal water bottle to cut down on waste. Event T shirts will make you an official Women Build volunteer. Suggested donation of $20 includes supplies, tools, instruction, lunch and t-shirt. Door prizes will be awarded daily from local vendors!

If you can’t build with Habitat but would like to support this year’s build and help with the funds for construction, please donate now.
