Cruisin’ in the Bay starts today

Cruisin' chrome

BAY ST. LOUIS Signs welcoming Cruisers were out in Old Town Wednesday ahead of today’s kickoff of Cruisin’ the Coast events here, stretching all the way through Saturday. By a happy coincidence, Second Saturday in October and Cruisin’ are a blended celebration.

Here’s the entertainment schedule for today here in the Bay:
11 a.m.-Noon – Figure 8
1-2 p.m. – Cool Rays
3-4:30 p.m. – Vince Vance & The Valiants
Big Easy in the Bay, Depot District, 5 p.m.

Big Easy in the Bay, a free New Orleans-style celebration, benefits the Bay-Waveland Habitat for Humanity with a car contest, drawdown and raffle. Music will be by Benny Grunch and the Bunch and the Rochelle Harper Band. Surprise entertainment is promised. Come out and enjoy the music, food and cars.

  1. Have you been out? Let me rephrase, tried to get out? I couldn’t get to the Bird for coffee without parking a block over and walking. Old Town was closed when we got out of church at 7:30 a.m. I gave up and went to Hollywood for an Americano, and that, too, was a mistake. I’m in for the duration my friend. Call me a cranky old broad; you’d be right.
