Hancock building permits total nearly $2 million

It’s Monday and Hancock County’s Building Department sent us info on permits issued last week (Nov. 13-17).

There were a total of 9 permits with a combined value of $1,984,366 and total permit fees of $6,603.
Here’s the breakdown: 7 permits were for residential projects and 2 were for commercial projects.
Raymond Heitzmann got a commercial permit to add 3 remote radio units to an existing AT&T cell array at 10030 U.S. 90. Valuation was $25,000 and fees were $136.
Polychemie got a commercial permit to erect an accessory building at 3080 Port and Harbor Dr. Valuation was $1,210,919 and fees were $3,200.
The residential permits were for new homes on Crane Street, Edwyna Drive, Hide A Way Drive and two houses on Fenton Dedeaux Road. Other residential permits were for construction of a storm shelter for farm equipment on U.S. 90 and a carport/porch on East Forrest Street.
