Bay Life Gifts is moving from 111 Main Street, Suite D, to Century Hall at 112 Second St. The popular shop will close its doors at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 24 and open in its new location Feb. 1.

In between the closing and the reopening, owner Janice Guido will be designing new decor and shopping at the Atlanta Market.

On opening day at Century Hall, Bay Life will host “a long weekend of exciting values, music and goodies,” Guido said.

She opened Bay Life on Main Street three years ago and said she’s moving to “join the lovely, experienced anchor retailers in Century Hall – Susan Peterson and JoAnn Saucier. There is power and creativity in numbers.”

Guido said she’s also excited to be in the same building with the local artists at Gallery Edge and next door to the Mockingbird. “The interior warmth of the hall’s architecture will offer beautiful niches for my products and artists,” she said.

Also, she said, “There’s plenty of onsite parking available for our customers.”

Guido has a family tie to the two-story hall, which was built in 1909 for the Woodmen of the World. “My grandmother Albena was a Woodmen of the World member and attended their meetings all over the Coast,” she said.
