Building permits: more than a million

Waveland’s Building Department issued 11 permits valued at $1,076,695 with fees totaling $4,311. Ten permits were for residential projects: an addition to a house on Road 366, construction of a ramp with a shed on Crane Street, a car port on Highway 53, a shed on 9th Avenue, another shed on Hunter Drive, and new houses on Wilderness Lane, Jana Lane, Dolph Keller Road and Crane Street. One permit was renewed for residential construction on East Jackson.

The one commercial permit was for a steel building to store barrels at Crittenden’s distillery on Highway 43. Value was $10,000 and fees were $101.

Bay St. Louis issued one permit for a new house on Union Street with a value of $200,712 and fees of $1,852.
