Building permits: meh.

The Hancock County Building Department issued one permit last week (Oct. 7-11) for a residential project on Lambert Lane to install a metal RV cover over an existing slab. Total value was $7,324 and fees were $48.

Meanwhile, the Bay St. Louis Building Department issued four permits totaling $382,415 in value and $3,709 in fees. The permits were for a new roof at St. Rose De Lima Headstart on South Necaise, a bulkhead/pier on Idaho, electrical work at the Bay-Waveland Yacht Club and a new house on Manhattan Street.

Bigger crowds than last year?
