Building permits top $1M

Good Monday morning. Here’s your building permit recap for Nov. 11-15 courtesy of the Hancock County Building Department.

Eight permits were issued last week for a total value of $1,106,838 and fees of $1,026. Two permits were for commercial projects, including new construction of a metal building for an auto parts store at 17100 Highway 603. The value was listed at $75,000 with fees of $511. Owner is Michael Dant.

The other commercial permit was issued to the Hancock County School District for renovations to a common area of a building’s restrooms, floor, walls, ceiling, partitions, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Valuation listed was $985,000. The contractor is DNP Inc.

The residential permits were for a pole barn on Magnolia Ridge Drive, a carport on Hoda Road, repairs to a duplex on West Ridley Street including plumbing, electrical and HVAC, a steel storage building on Mitchell Road, repairs to a kitchen on Bill Cap Ladner Road due to fire and moving a MEMA cottage to a new location on Lakeshore Road.
