P&Z votes: All unanimous; 5 yays, 1 nope

The Bay Council chambers were fairly full at last night’s Planning and Zoning meeting. Above are the applications presented to the commissioners. To no one’s surprise, parking was a big part of the discussion on some of these proposed projects. Might we consider changing the city’s motto from A Place Apart to No Place to Park.

The first five applications each got a 5-0 vote from the commission recommending approval to the City Council. The final application for a housing complex on Sycamore Street also got a unanimous vote but it was to deny the application request for approval. Next up is the Bay Council meeting vote at the Oct. 5 meeting.
