WAVELAND The City of Waveland will host a Hurricane Katrina memorial service marking the eighth anniversary of the storm on Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Waveland Civic Center, 335 Coleman Ave.

Following the memorial service, the Civic Center will be open so the public can view the first exhibit of Waveland’s Ground Zero Hurricane Museum.
