Second Saturday recap: Bernie, Ted & Violet

December’s Second Saturday did not disappoint. Great weather, nice holiday crowds, decorated boats in the harbor and, as always, some quirky surprises.

The first surprise was seeing a trio of Bernie Sanders supporters dispensing campaign material at the corner of Main and Beach Boulevard. Just wasn’t expecting that one, but then again, it is the season.

Keeping with presidential politics, take a close look at this priest statue for sale in Antique Maison. Do those eyebrows remind you of anybody? Hmm,Ted Cruz maybe. (Wonder if the statue was made in Canada.)

Father Ted

And lastly, what would a Bay St. Louis event be without some sort of exotic animal in our midst. Last night on Main Street this young pot bellied pig named Violet was sporting a holiday bandana and enjoying treats provided by her young owner. (Sorry I didn’t get the owner’s name. I was too taken by the pig.)Violet the Pig

Can’t wait to see who, or what, shows up in January.
