YellowBird Cakery & Sweet Boutique owner Michelle Briesacher has some great news for cake lovers: “We have been going strong pulling together YellowBird Cakery. It is looking great and almost ready for a grand opening. All we are waiting for now is the display cake… so we are aiming at Aug. 20.”

Notebook readers loved the post June 17 announcing the news that YellowBird will offer cakes made by Flour Power Confectionary in Louisiana. Twenty different cakes in fact, including chocolate mousse, red velvet, fresh fruit and white chocolate strawberry shortcake, all made fresh daily for sale at the YellowBird.

In the meantime, Michelle said, “Now that we have our permits and licenses with all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed, we are taking orders for cake deliveries.”
