‘Fare free’ Beach Trolley rolls into summer with daily service

Starting Friday, May 26, the free Beach Trolley will run daily from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. The expanded schedule for the fare free trolley was announced by Coast Transit Authority and the Silver Slipper Casino Hotel.

The trolley will follow its traditional 60-minute loop route from the casino down the beach to Bay St. Louis, through Old Town and then back to Silver Slipper, with many stops along the way including Buccaneer State Park.

Riders can also flag down the Beach Trolley to board or exit at any point along the route.

The trolley will leave the casino at the top of every hour with the last run leaving at 6 p.m. and returning to the casino at 6:46 p.m.

“Since our partnership with Coast Transit Authority began, we’ve had many of our patrons tell us how much they enjoy riding the Beach Trolley.” said Silver Slipper GM John Ferrucci.  “Summertime is really when a majority of our visitors utilize the Beach Trolley, so it was an easy decision to have the Beach Trolley running 7 days a week beginning with Memorial Day weekend. We are happy to be able to provide this service to our patrons and visitors in the area.”

Thanks, Silver Slipper.
