Building permits: strip mall conversion, additions & sheds

Hancock County issued eight permits last week with a total valuation of $684,463 and fees of $3,110.

Seven permits were for residential projects: a new house with a shed on Kyle Road, a swimming pool on Oak Street, an addition to a house on Road 366, additions to a cottage on Tamborella Road, two lean-tos for a barn on Circle G Ranch Road and installation of a shed on Hunter Drive.

The one commercial permit was issued to James Alison to convert a strip mall at 16329 Highway 603 into 10 single extended- stay rooms. Value was $225,000 and fees were $986.
